The SV1216 is a low-cost, maintenance-free, 2D forward-looking multibeam imaging sonar that provides acoustic vision ahead of the vehicle in clear or turbid water, enabling target detection and recognition, collision avoidance, and obstacle detection. This sonar can be used continuously in seawater for several weeks without maintenance. However, the sonar surface must be checked regularly for marine biofouling and cleaned promptly, otherwise sonar performance may be affected. In addition, rinse the unit thoroughly with fresh water and wipe dry each time it is taken out of the water; |
The sonar must not be exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods, as this can significantly affect its service life; |
